Not exactly climbing, but enough scrambling to (I hope) warrant a discussion. I'm hoping to attempt Capitol Peak next week while I'm in CO - plan is to hike out to Capitol lake and camp there the night before, and then go for it if conditions allow.

I know there is already some snow coming through CO - hoping for recommendations on which weather/forecast sites people use/find most reliable - and any updates from people that have been in the area recently?

Some snow on the N faces in the area as of yesterday. No effect on the standard ridge route but be on the lookout for verglas as the season progresses.
