Goldbar boulders - Index, WA

Wanted to give all the locals a heads up on the logging status of the Goldbar boulders. We hiked up there on Saturday using the five star approach trail. They have started cutting just before the trail connects with the logging road. We were able to log walk and get to the road, however they could start cutting more and it would make the approach no longer doable. should still be a bit before they start cutting at the boulders. I would say if you want to go up there soon, hike the road.

On a side not I talked to a friend of mine in the 4X4 community and he said they will be closing there access at deer flats for 3 months once the logging goes into full swing. So it will most likely be the same for us. If you have any projects up there I would get up there ASAP.
