I found three different abandoned anchors on the first today, and they were made up entirely of new gear.

Let me know if it's yours, and we'll work out a meeting place.

Hi Zach, my daughter left one red BD #1 cam and one yellow BD #2 cam on the north arete just below the 5.4 crux. Did you happen to find these?

Thanks,
Kurt

Unfortunately no. This was over on Fandango.

Well, last year my daughter dropped the same gear on Fandango... They fell, so they would not have been placed. Just checking...

This was four anchors running up Fandango, as though someone had bailed halfway up. One of them was a new looking rap anchor with a half dozen cordalettes looped through a rap ring, but I didn't strip that one. The other three were new biners and LOTS of poorly tied webbing (water knots with < .5" of tail). There were no cams.

Sounds like some new leaders may have lost their nerve and bailed, and/or it rained. I wish more people knew about this forum. No takers yet for the helmet I found.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
