Returning to Texas after being gone for quite some time and I am wondering what the most comprehensive guide to climbing in Texas might be? Also, any beta on good Oklahoma guide books would be great too. Thanks!

No all-TX guide, but John Hogge's guide for Austin area is good.

Oklahoma Select by Tony Mayse is the best book for Oklahoma. It covers some of the Wichitas and also Quartz Mountain. There's also Enchanted Rock A Climber's Guide by Sean O'Grady.

+1 for John Hogges 'Austin Climbing Book' Gnarly Press publishing

I was only able to find the book at Whole Earth provisions. It is certainly the most comprehensive I have seen.

Welcome back!

go to the Austin climbing Facebook page. there is a list of stores that still have copies, I just got one about two weeks ago.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
