This item is for sale but it's so specific to wall climbing that I thought I'd post it here. Typically the extra gear you need on a wall is packed in a pack or in the top of the haul bag. Both of these option are nightmares. Digging a specific piece of gear out of a pack without dropping something is a frustrating chore and getting into the top of the haul bag at a hanging anchor is a lot of work. I invented the Gear Closet to solve this problem. You set up the Gear Closet by hanging two looped daisy chains down inside it and then clip all of your extra gear, big stuff on the bottom, medium in the middle and small on top to those daisies. Tie it directly onto a tether line and haul it slightly below your bags, alongside your portaledge, Waste Case and garbage bag. When the leader calls down for a piece of gear, you pull up the Closet, clip it to the anchor, unzip the zipper, grab the piece of gear and send it up! No wasted time, no dropped gear, no pack or haul bag cluster! The bag is made from Metolius haul bag material and will easily last you a couple dozen walls. $200, no dickering, you pay shipping. Ha! It's hard to come up with an original idea. I made this one in 2006, thought it was an original idea then. Turns out, Middendorf made one years prior. I believe he also called his a "gear closet". I dubbed mine the straight jacket. I love where your mind is at, Hudon!

Half of the above photos were from the Glass, the other half from the KY river gorge. Here's a few from the Black

Yeah, I know, it is expensive. The sewing alone cost me $100.

Marks gear closet is the only way to haul your gear up the wall. Well worth the cost of 3-4 cams
