Another SJMG injured
A SJMG fell while guiding the skylight ice climb in SW Colorado, Tuesday. Injuries were such that flight for life was called in to bring injured guide to quick medical attention. Waiting for more details. |

James, thanks for the updates. Very glad to hear Dale made it out relatively okay. |
A little misinformation here. James has a vendetta against anyone associated with SJMG and seems relish in others being injured. |
I'll confirm that Dale is recovering. He was struck from above, causing him to fall, but his top screw held (decent but not great 13cm screw, ice fractured/cracked but did not fail). He was instructing an AMGA course at the time. The helicopter was a good idea given the extent of the injuries. |

from what ive read it didnt sound like he decked. were the injuries from slamming into the wall? |
I am not certain on that. It's my understanding that he was leading in a chimney (nearly every climb at the Skylight area qualifies) so subsequent injury was likely due to hitting the chimney walls. |

Kerr Adams has posted here regularly and was one of the students/rescuers. Good job on taking care of the situation and a successful outcome. |
