Half ropes for cheap?
|
Need to pick up some half ropes - they are fawking expensive. Any cheap site to get a pair for less than the $400 it looks like I'll have to spend??? If anyone has a set that's new night he willing to take them off your hands |

Gear Express has some for under $300
GearX also has Mammut 7.5s for about $300. deals.mountainproject.com/?… spadout.com/nsearch_v3.php?… |

JustRopes has a bunch for somewhere around $300, and I think there's a 20% off coupon floating around. |

Based on your location, let me take a guess: You've been working your way through the ADK classics in Keene Valley, and now this season you are ready to step it up and go do some of the bigger lines at Poko, thereby requiring double ropes for the raps. Or maybe you're a Gunkie; I'll try not to judge you if that's the case. |

I know they aren't know for their quality, but I bought the petzl halves for right under $200 total a few weeks ago at EMS. I don't think they even have them online, but in the stores they have all of them marked a lot down, and sale stuff is (or was) an extra 20% off. basically buy one get one free. |

That is exactly what I've been looking for! Actually headed to Laurels knob and Looking glass this summer and planning to run up some ice/mixed goodness in the ADK this winter. Lol definitely not a Gunkie, the place is extremely convenient (live 35 minutes away during the school year) but the bigger mountains are the goal. |

Been marking my nylon goods with a sharpie for a while and hazah they have not exploded yet. +1 for middle markers! |

Nice. Looking Glass is awesome. Yeah, just text/pm/whatever at some point if you think you'd be interested, and we can work something out. |

That's a great deal on the Genesis half ropes. I've been using mine for several years and they've really held up well. You'll be glad to have them at Looking Glass and especially at Laurel Knob. |

+1 for the Mammut 7.5s. Mammut ropes handle the best of any that I've used. |
