Ice Fest Roll call....who's coming? |
This a great event, I am sorry I will be missing it......one of the few times I will not have been able to make it in a very long time. Have fun Bill...... |
Thanks Ron! Are you sending info on the Pit? |
Bill, I'll be there. |
Sounds great! I'll be in and out on Thursday doing airport pick ups and such. |
Well? Anybody get back yet? Missed it all and looking forward to tons of great photos to be posted up here soon. Hope it was awesome. |

Wow! Great looking ice. Has Bryan ever tried to insert a helmet in his pants for protection, sorta like a huge theater 'codpiece'. It can be done, trust me. |
Photos look great. Couldn't make it to the Fest earlier this month. I'll be coming to Munising March 5-7. I know it's been pretty warm lately but how well is the ice holding up and do you think it'll be in climbing condition the first weekend in March? |
Ice is in really good shape and should be climbable well into March. Munising had a winter storm last night with a lot of snow, so if you are planning to hit the climbs along the lakeshore, snowshoes might be a good idea- have fun! |
Thanks for the update and advice, Bill! |
Andy, what you ought to do - alone or with your partner(s) - is head into Canada to the Nipigon Ice Fest, March 5-7. |
That'd be sick, Nick. I wish and I totally would but I'm trying to keep this ice excursion super budget because I have another trip to Colorado the next weekend to fund. Thanks for the link and info... I've climbed with James Loveridge at the Pit... he's phenomenal. Thanks again. |
