I've been tubeless for about six years.

It's on par with suspension and clipless pedals, very liberating.

Flats are a bitch though, but only ~10% more painful than with a tube, and way less frequent.

I ride in Phoenix and the desert plenty. Cacti, thorns and pointy plants are everywhere. I use slime tubes, but people do ride tubeless here, but maybe only 25% of all the riders (that's just a guess). I've thought about tubeless to save weight over slime, but I've had slime tubes save the day when I would have had multiple flats, especially on an epic type ride.

For MTB tubeless is the way if you ride a lot.

Why go HT? We went opposite. just curious

so you went 29 and HT- as I grew older I found suspension is essential.

More money wrapped up in two bicycles than my motocross bike. The wife gives me crap about that all the time.

I have a mish mashed MTN bike. It has a 1998 FSR Specialized frame with a manitou minute 03 fork. Use it for some DH during the summer, peddling isn't my cup of tea. Fun doing DH with a 11 year old bike, except when people point and laugh.

Lotta sweet rides in this thread.

Current bike: 2006 Trek 6700 with too many weight weenie upgrades to mention.

Santa Cruz Blur

A generation one Santa Cruz Blur. XTR w/ a mix of stuff. Check the 5th Element rear shock - let the dinosaur jokes begin. Seriously, this was my sixth and probably last season on this setup as I plan to move to a 29'er over the winter. This ride holds a lot of memories.
