Mt. Hayden

Is there another way to get to Mt. Hayden, aside from the normal north rim approach? We'd like to try it before the north side opens in mid-May. I see some possibilities from looking at maps, like the Buffalo Ranch Rd., but I can't really tell how practical that might be and have never been on that side of the canyon. Thanks for any ideas (like, be patient).

Yes, a friend who's done Zoro said that'd be an excellent choice also. Too much to do, the list just gets longer. Thanks! The Tomasi book is a really interesting compendium of Canyon summits --- it's got us thinking (prefer climbing).
