Potentially snow. summitpost.org/nevado-de-to… From Mexico City, drive on routes 15 and 55 around the south of Toluca until you get to the Pacifico Highway (route 134). Take this west until you see signs for the park. Follow the signs up to the high gate. Hike over the crater rim to the lakes (for Pico de Fraile) or begin your counterclockwise traverse from the rim toward Pico de Aguila.

Two large caves with 2-3 and single pitch routes; generally hard climbing. Park at the Grutas.

Routes start at the back of the cave with the longest and most well-known route, Mala Fama. Routes from left to right are: El Jaguar - 5.13a La Gran Tufa/Jaguar Variation - 5.13b La Gran Tufa - 5.13a La Onza - 5.12c Mantis - 5.12b Mala Fama - 5.12a (first pitch) Walk to the back of the cave on the left side.
