Rock is chossy especially on top outs. May be underwater when lake levels are high. From the pier follow the shore to the left. It is directly behind Mussel Boulder. It has a large angled rail and a small cave.
Limestone bouldering on a sandy beach. Here you'll find the best rock quality in the park, although many holds are still very liable to break off on you so always check a hold before committing to it above a bad landing. Most of the problems here range from 6 feet to 10 feet in height and get sun all day making this place hot during the summer, but since you're on the beach you can always cool off in the water. Don't expect to find solitude here, on a nice day the beach can get considerably crowded. approach time from car: 2 minutes After entering the park continue straight down the road. continue past the yacht club, the fossil ridge camping. keep going straight until you come to a dead end with a parking lot and a trail with big sign that says beach access. continue down the trail which will land you on a nice sandy beach, the problems are scattered to your left and to your right.
After following the path down to the sandy beach, look to your right. The illusion has a slab that faces the beach but a roof on the side by the trail and a vertical face on the opposite side. Some decent rock quality. After following the path down to the sandy beach, look to your right and slightly uphill.
