Climbing Near Guadalupe Relinas, México

The state of Hidalgo has a great variety of climbing. There are many different types of rock and access to climbing areas is generally easy. The local food "Pastes"are delicious. Hidalgo is one of the central states in Mexico and northeast of Mexico City.

I was only able to hop on one of these climbs at the end of my day here, but there are many routes that looked clean and ready to go. Behind La Botella, uphill and to the left. This is the crag you get to before you reach La Ventana Mayor (which is just slightly more uphill and to the left).

Las Ventanas is the main rock formation in the valley. There's a handful of multipitch routes around it's intimidating North face. From the parking lot at the restaurant, walk into the park and go across the open field, once you reach the base of La Botella, follow the left hand trail towards the base of Las Ventanas.
