Featured Trad, Sport, Bouldering, and other popular climbing routes and climbing areas Albany, Kentucky.
It's private property, so be aware. It's very near a creak, so be ready for water leaking through the under hangs of the crag. The Place is beautiful and there's plenty of natural shelter--along with easy access (100 meters) from your vehicle to the rock. Alladt, Tennessee is the location--and although I'm trying to be transparent to the exact local, it is climb by permission only. Call 931-704-4576 before you strike out for Jamestown, Tennessee. It is private property. But it is special for climbers. Especially boulderers. The local (I think) is geo-tagged, and it's only a five minute hike to the rock (it is a difficult hike for some carrying heavy gear or those with problems with balance. Jamestown, Tennessee.
This wall is at the beginnings of the No Business Walls but is off on its own drainage. Some good lines exist in this area but large portions of the cliff bands are full of rotten rock. From the gravel parking lot follow the 4x4 road down to the left for about one mile, cross no business creek and go East (right) on the John Muir trail. Follow the trail until it crosses Tacket Creek, from the crossing continue on the trail for about 80 yards until you notice a old logging road going off to the left.
The closest climbing to the parking area can be found here on this long point and also has a great vantage point of the entire valley. Several established lines can be found here as well as a large amount of unclimbed crack systems. From the parking area follow the sign for Longfield Branch to No Business Creek, walk down the 4x4 road and start counting the culverts (not the creeks as they vary depending on rainfall) After the third culvert between the creek and a large boulder make your way up the hill towards the wall. The path is flagged with orange tape and will bring you to the left side of a little meadow below a tall pocketed face.
