The climbing scene in Butte is quieter than in other parts of Montana, but don't let that fool you. Much of the climbing around here is sparsely documented but long established. With year-round bouldering, beautiful granite splitters and some of the hardest sport climbs in the state, Butte has more than enough worthwhile climbing -- you just may have to put in some work to find it.
