Description

Tiara Rado South holds some single pitch lines as well as some more obscure tower routes (like most of The Monument). The main attraction is "Incredible Handcrack of the Monument". It is far enough away from Tiara Rado proper to warrant its own subarea, as it's about 15 minutes south across the drainage to access it from Tiara Rado.

Getting There

There are several options:

1. Follow the standard approach from White Rocks Trailhead to Tiara Rado, and keep going southeast along the bench trail.

2. Start from Wildwood TH, take the standard trail towards Liberty cap, then take the bench trail northwest.

3. Probably the fastest way IMO, though it takes the most routefinding, is to start at Wildwood TH, but instead of taking the Liberty Cap Trail, take an immediate right out of the parking lot on the "fenceline trail" (obvious, well traveled, but not acknowledged by the NPS). Follow the fenceline trail for 20 minutes or till Terra Tower (the large, obvious tower above you) is directly above (west) you. Find a game trail that leads up through the metamorphic rock (there are a few options, a few drainages). You should end up near Terra Tower, then follow the bench trail north and west to the area.
