Access Issue: Private Property and Illinois Registered Land and Water Reserve Details

Most of the climbing at Fountain Bluff occurs on private property.
This climbing area is encumbered by a conservation easement, known as an Illinois registered Land and Water Reserve (LWR) as of 2024. Allowable uses are regulated and the natural resources on site are protected by law. Please refer to LWR section for more details.

Description

A sector including a steep, tall wall more reminiscent of corbin sandstone than southern Illinois. Also included is a wall with great slabs and roof pulls.
