Meseta Fronti (Arecibo) Rock Climbing

Arecibo's first crag! This northeast-facing wall comes into the shade as early as 8am and gets a constant gentle breeze. Admire the ocean and plateau right from the belay, under a rainproof shelter.

Toilet: Go to the left side of the crag, take the trail into the woods far away from the last route and the rock. Don't pee under the rock where it doesn't rain because the smell will linger.

Shade: The wall faces northeast. Shade starts around 8 or 9am for most of the year and you can climb all day. The sun angle changes rapidly during the three months surrounding the summer solstice, when you'll want to arrive around 11am or 12pm and climb all afternoon.
