Description

The left side of Mormon Hollow is comprised of 4 distinct areas/buttresses.

The Far left wall is the Wave Wall, which is made up of a few quality 10s-11s.

Next is Ward's Cave, which can be identified by the large roof with permadraws that contains four routes in the 12+ - 13+ range.

Next to the cave is Smitty's Roof area which has a couple trad climbs, a sport climb, and maybe some long forgotten variations.

On the right side of this area is the Cardiac or Africa Buttress, which contains the area classic Cardiac Arete and the popular overhanging bouldery 12- Arrhythmia.

This section ends at the rock staircase that climbs to the top of the cliff past Arrhythmia.

Getting There

When you get to the base of the Dark Star Boulder, you can head left toward the Wave Wall or straight ahead to the Cardiac Buttress.
