Description
A beautiful pillar of knob-covered solid granite in a gorgeous setting. One established route (Splitter, 10a), with lots of potential for more.
Getting There
Take the McGee Creek trail up into McGee Creek Canyon. About a mile before the trail that goes east to Steelhead Lake, take a fork to the right up the old mining road/trail into Baldwin Canyon (the Baldwin Canyon Trail). Follow this trail for about a half hour until you see the pillar on your left. About a two-hour hike from the car to the base.
