Description Suggest change

A small boulder with a handful of beginner-friendly problems with low topouts and good landings. While not particularly aesthetic or inspiring, this boulder would serve as a good warmup for the harder lines on the Ballroom Boulder, or as a nice spot for beginner boulderers to get some outdoor experience.

As far as I can tell, the first reference to this boulder anywhere is Sticky Paw's video from a few years back (here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2anw8FGJqM). It's possible this was climbed before then, but I've never heard of it. If you know drop a comment!

N0TE: Sticky Paw left these unnamed and ungraded. I've listed the boulders with names I came up with in order to more easily distinguish each line, but if folks know of more historical problem names please let me know and I'll update the page.

Getting There Suggest change

The boulder is located on the south side of the hill (about half way up the hill). You can access the boulder either by locating The Lion's Den exercise area (near the southeast corner of the park) and walking uphill on the stairs leading up from there, or by walking up the hill on the stairs that lead up from the park's south entrance on 5th Ave and 120th st. After you go up a flight of stairs, the path should level out one tier below the hill's summit, and you should see a large grassy area with the boulder on the uphill side.
