Description Suggest change

This is without a doubt the best boulder in the park with the highest concentration of problems. While Sticky Paw for sure climbed here a few years back, it's unclear to me if this boulder has an older history. Strap on your slab shoes and get ready for some sketchy, committing climbing. This boulder has mostly intro and moderate grades. The feet are mostly small and slopey, so faith in friction is a must (and for those new to slab, boulders might feel a couple grades harder than normal). Fun movement, though, and relatively high topouts for NYC. Bring your pads and some spotters!

Getting There Suggest change

The boulder is on the north side of Marcus Garvey Park, just east of the swimming pool and overlooking the rotunda and open lawn area. If you walk to the north side of the park and look toward the hill, you can't miss it.

Safety Note

Suggest change

There is currently a lot of broken glass on the top of the boulder, and I've already disposed of a couple hypodermic needles from directly on top of the boulder the times I have been there. Scope out the top BEFORE you climb to remove any hazards.
