Description Suggest change

One of Harlem's most iconic and scenic parks, Marcus Garvey Park also boasts a couple decent boulders. The park has seen a handful of ascents from more adventurous climbers over the years, though the boulders have largely not been logged in official guides until recently. Still, one boulder (the Ballroom Boulder) in particular sports some of NYC's best easy and moderate slab climbing. If you find yourself tired of Central Park and looking to explore, this could be a good option for you!

Getting There Suggest change

Marcus Garvey Park lies in Harlem between 120th and 124th streets to the south and north and off Madison Ave on the east side. The Above the Lion's Den and Chosspile boulders lie on the south side of the hill, and the Ballroom Boulder sits proudly on the north side.
