Description

Climbing right on the beautiful sea cliffs with a short approach! These routes are quite short but fun and the rock quality is surprisingly good. The routes are mostly easy, ranging from III to 6a, and this crag would be good for beginners. Most of the routes could be set up with a top-rope because the anchors can be reached from the top of the stairs. If it’s windy or high swell this wouldn’t be a good spot because the routes would get wet from saltwater.

Getting There

Park at the Miradouro Cabo Carvoeiro (39.3594, -9.4083). After you check out the view of Berlengas Island, walk down the stairs to your left. Most of the routes are to the left of the bottom of these stairs and there are a few to the right. It’s about a 2-5 minute approach.
