Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

This is a rocky canyon running in a northwest-southeast direction that is bordered by The Brown Wall on the south end and The Cathouse on the north end.

Despite the close proximity to the Real Hidden Valley area it sees much less traffic and can be a good spot to escape the crowds.

Getting There

Approach from the Real Hidden Valley area by skirting along the west side of The Brown Wall or if in the Lost Horse area by heading south from the vicinity of The Cathouse.

Approach times vary from 5-30 minutes typically.
