Description
These boulders are scattered on the beach to the north of the main Carmel Meadows boulders. The rock can be choss, but a lot of it is pretty solid (albeit rough on the skin). Landings are generally sandy, providing a level of comfort that is notably absent at the nearby Carmel Meadows Southern Spire.
Getting There
The approach is about 5 minutes from the Carmel Meadows trailhead. Walk down the stairs, take a right at the bottom, and head down to the beach where you can. You'll see a boulder that loosely resembles a bird with a protrusion at the tip. This is the first boulder in the set. The rest are just a short walk farther north up the beach.
