Description
The guidebook describes this zone as having the highest concentration of routes, as well as the most diverse in terms of grades. Mostly all day shade, though a few routes will be in the sun for an hour or two. Climbing on both sides of the corridor - your first time will take a moment to locate routes and decipher the maze-like set up. Monkeys seem to be common jumping around in the trees above!
Getting There
Multiple options: approach as you would for Bárbaros (see that page for details). From the area where the route Exúvia is, you’ll see a trail going up into the trees. Follow this for about 2 minutes and stay left at the intersection. You’ll pass through an amazing arch and be at the top of the crag. The next option is to make a right off of the main G3 trail shortly after a gate where you’ll see a sign for Vale Zen. Follow this uphill for 5 minutes or so. You’ll have two options at this fork. If you go right you’ll drop down and left and now be in the lower part of the crag and will need to do some boulder and vine hopping. The other option at the fork is to go left past República Chilena and this will take you uphill and loop you around to the right where you’ll be at the top of the crag and the cool arch entrance. This final option would be my recommended approach.
