Description Suggest change

Tucked above the start to 'Via Alpina' and around the corner from the main Ophir Wall, you'll find two scrappy little crags: the Practice Slabs and the Practice Steeps. These small outcrops have a western exposure, providing morning shade and afternoon sun. As the name implies, these routes are short in nature but provide good practice for the better lines on the main wall. A great spot for a quick pump.

**A lot of cleaning was done on these routes, but inevitably some loose rock persists. For the highest quality experience, do not stray from the intended path, and choose your holds wisely.**

Getting There Suggest change

Park in the lower pullout, as you would for Via Alpina (VA). Follow the trail into the woods and before the base of VA, go up and right, following a steep trail around the slab. Head up some fixed lines to the base of the Practice Slabs (and the start of P2 of VA). Then, go left along the cliff for 2 minutes to reach the base of the Practice Steeps. While mostly uphill, this has got to be one of the shortest approaches in Ophir. 5-7 minutes.
