Pyramid

Oregon > Northeast Oregon > Burnt River Canyon > Hidden Valley

Description

West-facing, isolated crag with large grassy area at base and a big juniper for shade. Super easy access. Has 6 sport routes, developed purposely with lines rather close together for accessible fun. The longest route is 18 m, so 60 m rope works here. And anchor chains for Ancient History, which goes up the center of the face, are easily accessible by scrambling around right to the summit of the crag.

Getting There

See access info for Hidden Valley. The Pyramid lies at the east end of the loop trail from the footbridge that circles through the valley. The quickest way is to turn left after crossing the bridge and going through the east entrance of the valley. This way takes 10-15 minutes from the bridge. But either way doesn’t take very long.
