Description

Salty Pasta is a small boulderfield in Salt Creek Canyon approximately 2.5 miles down Z6 Rd. There are a handful of 10-20 foot boulders scattered on the slope.

Getting There

Head down Z6 Rd. for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach a pulloff on the south side of the road. Salty Pasta is on the north side of the canyon. To reach the boulderfield, head about halfway up the screefield.

Salty Pasta Lore

We headed down Salt Creek Canyon on a whim trying to find a nice spot to spend the night. We didn't bring enough water with us to cook our Great Value bowtie pasta, so we skimmed some water out of the muddy creek next to our campsite. I salted the water, as one should, without knowing the name of the creek.... That was some salty pasta.
