Description
If riding the tram or seeing this face for the first time, its steep overhanging face draws you into its depths. This crag is host to some unrepeated gems, climbs with big runouts and big fall potential as well as some moderates and a few trad lines for those who want to bring the gear. Its shady so prepare wisely can be chilly even on hot days! Many routes will take gear between bolts if you don't want to run it out. A standard rack to fist sizes will get you by. The longer routes will take around 15 draws. Don't miss the last tram down, its a long hike! Amazing that Corbets can offer amazingly steep pocketed dolomite as well as being an incredible ski blade run. Fun for all seasons right here.
Getting There
Lets be honest, you're not hiking all the way up to climb these unless you are some kind of angsty enduro monster. 99.9% of us will access this zone off the Tram. A short 5 min hike downhill south on the trail off the tram deck will lead you into the beasts belly. There are a few different access options but essentially the same as for North side (s facing) unless climbing upper deck routes: 1) Rapp/abseil/downclimb SW corner of Corbets to access the upper deck routes, it's an airy 4th class scramble down to the lower deck routes. 2) You can also rapp/abseil/or scramble down the NW corner there is a single bolt on the North Side (southerly facing) side before you get to the wall proper (has this been updated?) This will lead you to a ledge where you can access the lower deck.
