Description Suggest change

This face is hidden when coming from the trailhead, but shows its full glory when coming from below. Its a slightly inverted wall that slowly gets steeper the closer it gets to the dihedral. The rock is sharp and a bit glassy, so definitely would recommend trying these climbs in the cold. Parts of the rock are fragile, so be careful while climbing.

Getting There Suggest change

The approach is half a mile long from the raven rocks trailhead parking lot. It is one of the first real walls on the trail. To get to it from the top, follow the trail until you reach the second switchback and then cut off trail a little past a small rock outcropping, then turn left towards the base of that outcropping and follow a small game trail along the edge about two hundred feet. The trail leads straight into Purgatory. If you cut off the trail too soon, or come out above Purgatory you may need to search around for a few minutes, but it is pretty obvious, I will make trail markers soon. If coming from the bottom of the switchbacks, you will see the face from the ground, it is the second face you will see from the ground, the first one may be climbable but havent tried it yet, and then can just bushwhack your way up.
