Description

Just north of the Lake there's a large number of impressive sandstone cliffs and boulders. The rock is junky in some spots, but a decent portion of it is good. There's stuff all over, but places to start looking are downstream from the bridge and in the campground. The area stays relatively cool on the hottest summer days and is a pleasant refuge during smoke season.

Getting There

DO NOT follow the direction given by google/apple maps. Route to Scottsburg and continue a few minutes farther on 38, turning left when you see the Loon Lake sign. Park next to the choss roof before the bridge.
