The peanut farm...
A worthy destination for the strangeness and natural splendor alone, the huge granite erratic lurking in the woods is really just a bonus in a state largely starved of igneous stone. One of only six or seven other places like it in Iowa that has actively moving sand dunes courtesy of dumped sediment and a large weathered chunk of St. Cloud granite from the retreat of the Pleistocene ice sheets. Home to several rare Iowa species including prickly pear cacti (yes really!) and the ornate box turtle. Come explore and see if you can find the prickly pear and the Big Rock. Legend has it an albino doe haunts the park and whom's sighting harkons an impending change in purity of purpose.
