Description

Märchenwald (fairy tale forest) is the first sector you will arrive at in Karrer Klettergarten. This portion of the cliff face is south facing, 110 meters long and up to 30 meters tall. There are nearly 30 routes on this portion of wall with most being in the 5th and 6th grade (french). The bolting is user-friendly and most anchors have a quick clips for cleaning the route.

Getting There

From the left corner of the parking lot follow a trail of steep switchbacks that trend left past to avalanche barricades. Märchenwald is the left most sector at the cliff.
