Description

A large block with an obvious horizontal crack running through it, and two large blocks split vertically sitting on top. This Buttress sits behind a large Boulder with potential routes on it.

Getting There

From the south parking lot take the paved bike trail to the mowed trail that leads up to prairie walls area. From here take the trail past prairie walls into a wooded area. Here you will walk past a gully full of boulders and exit the trees. Taking the trail up hill slightly, this will be first fortress. Keep heading north for about 100 feet, passing a boulder field. Here you will find L-buttress, look for the large overhang on the southeast corner. Heading past this near the cliff face, you keep heading north for another 50 to 100 feet. This Buttress is located on the south side of the access gully (very obvious easy walk to the top) for Square Block Butress.
