Description

East side of Notch Mountain tops out at 11055 feet. Classic blocky Uinta quartzite climbing with a walk just long enough to guarantee you will have it to yourselves. Climbs better than it looks.

Getting There

Park at Bald Mountain Trailhead. Walk 3 miles along Notch Mountain Trail to Notch Lake. Contour around the lake to the North. Mindfully cut NW through trees to gain a talus field, which will bring you to the base of the East side. Approach takes about 1 hour.
