As per NF and local official orders, this is in the closure area for the Bedrock fire.
Description
Also known as the Diamond Slipper Amphitheater, this aesthetic arena hosts some excellent friction climbing. Some of the routes are steeper with dicey friction, while others are low angle, but don't let that fool you! They are often more difficult than they appear. This area stays shaded for much of the day in the summer.
Getting There
This wall is on the north aspect of Flagstone. To get there, follow the approach trail up from the road and turn left. Continue along the path around the left (north) side of the formation, past the North Slab and North Wall. When the trail heads into the woods, you have three options to access the North Bowl. The routes start at the top of the lower easy slab. You can follow the trail through the trees until it deposits you at the base of Joy Luck Club and then traverse out to the right onto the slab, you can scramble up the 3rd/4th class slab directly to the staging area (a flat spot on the slab), or you can climb the first pitch of Endless Sky and traverse up and left to the staging area. Approach time: ~5 minutes.
