Description Suggest change

A relatively quick and very straight forward approach, Dog Lake holds a couple routes to get you out of the heat. Dog Lake is more of a pond compared to the other lakes in the area but it isn't teaming with people. We put these in during the Fall of 2021 when it was sometimes a bit cold so there were no mosquitos.  I'm guessing the little buggers would be ever present during the summer so plan accordingly. Bring a light rack from micros to 0.5 cam or so.

Getting There Suggest change

Start at the main Brighton Lodge and hike up the hill on the Lake Mary trail. Stay on the well-worn trail until you get to the Dog Lake junction. Hang a left here. See pics. Either way around Dog Lake will get you to the slab, but you'll avoid some swampy areas if approached from the right. 15-20 minutes tops.
