Description

Shady crag in the Elk Meadows area. Great spot for summer cragging as the main wall is basically shaded all day.

Some great moderate techy routes. Definitely room for more easy/moderate routes for anyone that wants to spend a day scrubbing lichen.

Getting There

Follow general directions for Elk Meadows area. Continue past the palace wall for roughly 3/4 mile before taking a right onto FS road 373B. Follow 373B past the Skookum Butte trailhead. Take a right at the next fork, forest service road 2186. Park at the next junction.

Approach

There is not an obvious trail yet. Once you park and head towards the wall, it is easiest to stay on the edge of the burn area (reference low quality map) you should come across a little swamp with a log crossing. After the log crossing head up toward the first obvious blank wall you see. Follow the wall right until you reach funk rock
