Description
Really interesting tafoni rock wall that is very unique from all the other rock formations in the Paradise Valley area. Extremely fragile in places and rock hard in others. It's a fairly short wall that is only about 20m at it's highest point. However, the beauty of the rock, mid afternoon shade, and the short approach make this crag worth a visit.
Getting There
Drive 3 miles (10 minutes) NE past Hinkey Summit on Hinkey Summit Road. Park way off to the side in a wider area of the road (parking GPS coordinates: 41.688797° -117.516535°).
Hike NW 600 feet (5 minutes) to get to the middle portion of the wall.
*See overview map for parking spot and approach trail.
