Please be advised: State Rangers know of the area and, due to the unwanted potential impact and concerns w.r.t hiking, crash pads, etc, have strongly encouraged very VERY small groups of people at any point going toward and beyond that direction. Small groups of no more than 2-3 people are advised. This will NOT change for the foreseeable future.

Permits can be acquired at the ranger station on the way to the boulders from the upper Tramway station.

Description

This boulder burns in the sun most of the day, though the overhang does remain well shaded thanks to the overhead trees. Also home to one of the best moderates in Atlantis; A Place in the Dirt.
