This is very important to remember, and the rules associated with climbing here must be respected if it is to remain open to climbers. In order to climb or boulder at this area you must sign a waiver and pay a one-time $8 fee at the Carver Climbing Club. Be sure to carry photo ID with you when you're at the area. Respect the land owner's property, don't litter, don't add or remove any bolts without permission, etc. It would be a big loss to the Portland climbing community if Carver were to be closed to us so do your part to keep it open and accessable.

Description

This area comprises the southeastern most section of boulders. Traffic Boulder is clustered with Jaws of Death and Head Multiplier, while Red Ant, Reggae Recipe, and Birthday Boulder are a little more hidden away up on the hill.

Most boulders here have a collection of moderates and at least one difficult line. The Traffic Boulder is a popular warm-up spot and has several VB-V2 lines. Jaws of Death has a collection of V6-V8.

Getting There

From the Stone Cliff Inn parking lot, enter the bouldering area and walk left (east) and uphill. You'll find the spine of the Traffic Boulder. Pass it and continue uphill and you'll eventually find Reggae Recipe near the Rockgarden Wall of the cliff.
