Description

The face of Boulder 2 that is climbed on is featured by a number of left angling rails. There is a flat landing at the base of the boulder that then drops down into the hillside.

Getting There

This boulder is located in between the Fortress of Solitude and the First Talus area, but is easier to access by parking at the smaller Mann School Rd lot. Park there and hike in down the trail, walk past the fortress, and around the first turn in the trail. Boulder 2 is located along this hillside, directly next to Boulder 1 and Fox Cave; all three of them are visible from the trail.

If approaching from the larger lot on Connors Farm Rd hike in and take a left, walking through the First Talus area towards the Cirque, and then Boulder 2 will be up on the hillside on your right before you get to the Fortress of Solitude.
