Description
This group of crags has gone through several name iterations, but with Jeff Engel’s blessing, the 2022 revision of the guidebook calls it Onishishin, which is an Anishinaabe word that translates to “beautiful”.
These crags are all in Canada, so you will have to clear Canadian customs on Sandpoint Lake or have an RABC permit. Climbing is on high quality granite, mostly sport with some trad.
Getting There
After clearing customs on Sandpoint lake, continue north through King Williams narrows. After passing through King Williams go east into Clearwater bay. After passing a small island there will be a larger island to the east. Make sure you go on the north side of that island. Continue to the end of Clearwater bay. On the far east corner is the channel into David lake. Follow this channel toward David lake, then see the sub areas for further directions
