Description
Wilson Trail is located on the upper plateau of the hills south of Culp Valley Cultural Preserve. This area offers great hiking, an abundance of wildflowers (seasonal), and the occasional boulder to climb. There are various trails and canyon routes to reach the peak ranging from easy to moderate approach.
Getting There
As you leave Ranchita on the S22 turn right on to Jasper Trail, just past the Anza Borrego Desert State Park sign. Follow Jasper Trail till you hit a four way cross then turn left heading east on to Old Culp Valley Road. You will see the the Wilson Trail campsite area first, the parking for the trailhead about 400 yards from the campsite. The parking area for the trailhead only has enough space for 4 cars after the park rangers installed a barrier fence.
