Description

This is an awesome boulder located at the water's edge. The climbs are all found on the 50 foot long upstream face. This boulder has some unique problems and a lot of cool holds and features. Most of the rick quality is great, although a few of the shelves on "Shelf Awareness" do flex a lot.

It is recommended not to climb on these shelves soon after heavy rainfall, especially if your bodyweight is more than 150 pounds. The this shelf were to snap and explode off the wall, it would not be fun to be under it. Be smart, don't climb on soaking wet jug shelves that flex!

Getting There

Pretty easy to find this boulder. Around a 10 minute walk down the creek.

Hike down the footpath on the left side of the creek. Keep following the trail to a beach-like area where Rustoleum Roof is found. Once here the trail veers left and up the hill for 10-15 yards before cutting back right again. (The trail does this to avoid a heavily vegetated peninsula.) The trail begins to run parallel with the creek once more, but the hiker will be on a sort of ridge. Follow this ridge with the creek in site, and the large elongated face of the Starship boulder will be easily distinguishable.
