Description Suggest change

This north facing crag lies in a protected cove on the backside of the Fist Pinnacle hillside. The sheltered position of this wall amongst a grove of trees and surrounded by rocks provides good shade and protection from the wind on a blustery day. Many crack systems delineate this cozy wall; try some of the few moderates in the Fist Pinnacle area or continue the 5.10 send train on the harder gems at the wall.

Getting There Suggest change

Though on the same hillside as Fist Pinnacle, Cat's Cradle lies on the opposite side and completely out of sight of the parking lot at Council Rocks.

Approach the Fist Pinnacle area from Council Rocks parking area, making sure to work up hill towards the pinnacle shortly after passing the NOLS Wall...look for the many cairns guiding you upwards. Pass the Fist Pinnacle and continue along to the main wall. Make sure to skirt along the entire main wall, going through two chasms along the main wall itself. After second chasm (which starts the climb Over-torqued), scramble up 4th class/5-easy ledge system underneath 2020 Tower (beneath the climb Heartwork) and through a final chasm. Upon exiting the final chasm you will see the Cat's Cradle in front of you.

Approximately 45 minutes car to crag.
