Some photos from a climber for climbers.

A worthwhile diversion.

You'll need a pass to get onto the road from the Park service website, or ( in 2021) if you get through the gate very early ( I think it was 6am but might have been 5 am)

The other way to get in is to have a reservation for one of the attractions within the Park, for example we had a reservation for the St Mary's boat ride. Of course this costs money, and also "sells out".

Getting There

Probably 95% of the people start at West Glacier, MT (which is where the GPS locator is set ) which is about 30 miles east of Kalispell/Whitefish. Kalispell has surprisingly good commercial airline service, a fact we were unaware of when we flew into Missoula, a few hours drive south.
