Description Suggest change

Square Top, also known as "Table Rock", is located just outside Cave Lake State Park boundaries. It is a large limestone formation that sits high on a hill and is easily identifiable by its size and shape. Routes have been established on the north face of the formation. As of 11/2021, there are still some old bolts with button heads present.

Getting There Suggest change

Park at the Steptoe Creek Trailhead. From the parking area, cross the footbridge and take the Steptoe Creek trail southwest following the creek. You will eventually encounter a flat wash/game trail. You can follow this wash south towards the formation. You will eventually have to bush-wack up the steep terrain to the formation proper. Aim for a giant detached flake located on the north face. Trekking poles will be helpful.
